We serve military members on short term orders to Dahlgren VA in need of comfortable, convenient, well appointed housing for the duration of their training.
As a Navy family ourselves, we know the challenges of training schedules, and lodging. We didn’t want to stay in hotels for months on end, so we came up with a solution! A private, secure bedroom with all the amenities of home, and a quick and easy commute into school. So close you could pop home for lunch.
Come stay in a 4 bedroom 3.5 bath home, where you can leave work at work and enjoy a relaxing, homey atmosphere. Fully equipped kitchen, comfortable common space, in house laundry, weekly cleaning service and private bedrooms.
Each bedroom has a keypad door lock for your privacy and security. Fully appointed with a queen sized bed, hangers, iron and ironing board, clothes baskets, bedding, towels, etc. All the comforts of home. Just bring your clothing and let us take care of the rest.
How it works
The priority lodging for your time at Dahlgren is the Navy Gateway Inn & Suites. We have all experienced these accommodations and the associated amenities, we believe you deserve better! Thankfully a Certificate of Non-Availability (CNA) is attainable. Call NGIS at 1-877-NAVYBED for assistance and follow these procedures. You will either be provided an open or closed CNA or informed that lodging is available. Thankfully, regardless of the circumstance we can provide you a comfortable stay in Dahlgren and you will pay nothing out of pocket! We are in compliance with U.S. Fire Administration Guidelines and operate in accordance with the Joint Travel Regulations, Table 2-14 blocks 2 or 6 on page 2-28, and the DoD Integrated Lodging Program, E.1 or E.6, for your protection.
Open CNA:
With an open CNA your lodging choice is up to you! Select the book your room with an Open CNA in the drop down below and get in touch with us. We’ll need a copy of your orders and your open CNA. We will process your request, ensure all requirements are met, provide a lease to sign, and get you set up for a great stay!
Closed CNA:
With a closed CNA you have been directed to book with a DoD Preferred commercial lodging before other lodging accommodations. Your lodging allowance will be less than full per diem and you would be required to pay the difference if you booked a room at a greater rate than the reduced per diem. With this in mind we will charge you less than the reduced rate. Select the book your room with a Closed CNA in the drop down below and get in touch with us. We’ll need a copy of your orders and your closed CNA. We will process your request, ensure all requirements are met, provide a lease to sign, and get you set up for a great stay!
No CNA:
With no CNA you have been directed to book with the NGIS. Your lodging allowance will be less than full per diem and you would be required to pay the difference if you booked a room at a greater rate than the reduced per diem. With this in mind we will charge you less than the NGIS rate. Select the book your room with No CNA drop down below and get in touch with us. We’ll need a copy of your orders and will research the correct rate to charge. Travel Claims - the right way!
Making sure your travel claim is processed correctly is important!
We recommend you use your Government issued travel card for your travel expenses, especially for lodging. Not only will you be in accordance with instruction NAVADMIN 286/81, you will also be exempt from paying interest until 90 days following check-in at your ultimate duty station.
We will provide you a zero sum receipt upon your departure. Your stay with us will be the same paperwork wise as if you had stayed with any traditional off base lodging. No hassle, no inconvenience, and a properly processed travel claim, at least on our end!
